The new Sport Series Hans has the same features as the Extra Hans device, but is heavier in weight. It is made of Injection molded super structural carbon fiber. It is approximately 1 pound heavier than the Extra Device.

New for 2009, you can choose between 2 different ways your Hans Device attaches to your helmet:

1. LW2 Anchor system keeps the Hans Device attached to your helmet even while not in use. The LW2 does not allow the driver to disconnect the helmet from the Hans Device. They have to be taken on/off the driver together.

2. Post Anchor system is the anchor system that most people are used to already. The anchors are bolted to the helmet, and the Hans tethers attach the Hans to the helmet, and the Hans can be separated from the helmet easily. This allows the driver to put the Hans on while still in the car if desired.

The sliding or fixed tether system is available no matter what style of Anchor system you choose.
